The Hollywood Marines defeated the Aarlington Aardvarks by a score of 7 to 4
at Aarlington Field.
Hollywood wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning with 2 runs.
After an out was recorded, Dansby Swanson keyed the rally when he drew a
walk. Swanson was safe on a stolen base. Clarke Schmidt then threw a pitch
that got away from the catcher. Pete Alonso came up and he would ground out
bringing in a run. Nick Castellanos stepped into the box and hit a
bases-empty home run. Hollywood rapped out 9 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Brady Singer(10-11) who allowed 1 run in 5 and 1/3
innings. Singer got relief help from Chris Flexen who gained credit for his
3rd save. The losing pitcher was Schmidt(4-6).
