Catcher Tyler Soderstrom had 2 base hits as the Dallas Gibsons staged a
dramatic comeback over the Caracas Leones by a score of 3 to 2 at Leones
Field.
Dallas scored the winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 base hits.
After two outs Luis Garcia began the Dallas spurt when he ripped a single.
Triston Casas stepped into the batter's box and he popped a two-run clout
over the fence. Dallas had 10 hits for the night while Caracas had 7.
Tommy Kahnle(1-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Kyle Finnegan
recorded the save, his 21st. Kenley Jansen(3-1) absorbed the loss in relief.
He surrendered 2 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
Jansen was feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get
away. What a miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One
minute things are looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I
get a chance to redeem myself real soon!'
