Michael Soroka delivered 7 solid innings and Teoscar Hernandez went yard and
had 2 RBI as the Dyersville Jurassics defeated the reeling Streator Reds in
10 innings by a score of 7 to 5 at Streator Park.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Dyersville won the hard fought
contest in the 10th inning. Yandy Diaz opened up the rally as he doubled
plating a run. J.T. Realmuto stepped up to the plate and he laced a one-base
hit. Brandon Marsh then slapped a base-hit driving in another run. Marsh
took second on a stolen base. After an out was recorded, Gio Urshela stepped
in and he drew a walk to load the bases. Julio Rodriguez kept the inning
going and drew a walk scoring the final run of the inning. Dyersville had 10
hits for the night while Streator had 6.
Mason Miller(12-5) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 2 innings. Patrick
Sandoval(3-5) was hit with the loss. He allowed 10 hits and 5 walks in 10
innings.
