At Busch Stadium the phenomenal Chicago Whales outscored the Tampico Stogies 7
to 4.
In the 7th inning Chicago scored 3 runs when they had 3 base hits. The
critical plate appearance was by Andy Ibanez who silenced Busch Stadium as he
clubbed a three-run home run. Chicago and Tampico each finished the night
with 10 hits.
The victory went to Joe Jimenez(6-4) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Griffin Jax recorded his 17th save. Michael King(10-5) ended up with
the loss. Although losing the contest, he whiffed 13 batters in 6 and 1/3
innings.
