The Palatine Cubs edged the Dublin Pubcrawlers in 10 innings at Kauffman
Stadium by the score of 6 to 5.
The game was deadlocked at 5 after nine full innings. Finally, Palatine
prevailed in the 10th inning. Royce Lewis smacked a single giving Palatine
the win as 8,125 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Both teams finished the
game with 8 hits.
The victory was credited to Dylan Floro(7-3) who went 1 inning, allowing no
runs. Joe Mantiply(0-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He was the
victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
