First baseman Luke Raley smacked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at West Side Park as
the Chicago Whales beat the Streator Reds by the count of 14 to 5.
Raley enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He belted a three-run homer in the
1st inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 5th inning, doubled which
scored a run in the 7th inning and ripped a base-hit in the 8th inning.
Streator was out-hit by Chicago, 16 hits to 11.
Mitch Spence(8-7) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory.
Chris Paddack(1-5) was hit with the loss. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 8
innings.
'I felt great out there tonight' Raley said. 'I was seeing the ball
perfectly, and I was right on it with my swing.
