Center fielder Jacob Young had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the phenomenal Texas
Flood topped the Burbank Tigers by a score of 4 to 2 at Lawton
Stadium.
Texas delivered all the runs required in the 4th inning when they scored 4
runs on 4 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Young who made the
home-town crowd a happy bunch when he ripped a one-base hit scoring two
baserunners. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.
Max Fried(15-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. Tanner Scott recorded his 9th save. Bailey Falter(12-7) was
hit with the loss.
The winning ways continue for Texas. They now have a record of 8-2 in recent
days. Burbank has a record of 62-79 after the loss.
