The Nimrod Numnuts snapped their 6 game slide and nipped the Dyersville
Jurassics in 10 innings 8 to 7 at Jurassic Park in a hard fought
contest.
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Nimrod ended up winning
it in the 10th inning. The key at-bat was by Ernie Clement who deflated the
crowd as he doubled which was good for two runs. Nimrod had 17 hits for the
game and Dyersville had 12.
Michel Otanez(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2/3 of an
inning. Keider Montero got the save, his 4th. Mason Miller(10-5) was the
loser in relief.
'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Mark Salzwedel sighed. 'That win feels like a tall,
cool drink of water after spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
