The Caracas Leones nipped the Hollywood Marines in 11 innings 3 to 2 at Leones
Field in a hard fought contest.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Caracas was victorious
in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Bryce Harper delivered a
base-hit resulting in an exciting win for Caracas and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans. Caracas had 8 hits overall, while
Hollywood had 4.
Sean Guenther(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Dennis
Santana(2-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He was pinned with the loss
despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
