Right fielder Heliot Ramos cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Dallas
Gibsons defeated the Caracas Leones by a score of 8 to 6 at Truist
Park.
Ramos helped send the fans home happy. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 1st inning, laced a base-hit plating a run in the 3rd inning and cracked
a solo homerun in the 7th inning. Dallas simply wore out the Caracas
pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
The winning pitcher was Sam Long(2-1) who allowed 1 run in 2 and 1/3 innings.
Kyle Finnegan recorded his 19th save. Colin Rea(7-6) took the loss in
relief. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
'Ahhh, that victory was surely needed. Man alive, things were getting awfully
grim,' noted Steve Felson. 'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together
and turn things around!'
