Alejandro Kirk had 5 hits and 5 RBI as the seemingly unstoppable Texas Flood
really laid it on the Hollywood Marines 16 to 5.
Kirk really 'lit it up' for Texas. He ripped a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, doubled which brought home a run in the 3rd inning, smashed a
solo-shot out of the park in the 5th inning, doubled scoring a run in the 7th
inning and stroked a base-hit plating two runs in the 8th inning. Texas bats
were very productive in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 5 runs on 4 hits
and the 8th inning when they had 5 runs on 3 hits. The Texas offense smacked
the Hollywood pitching staff around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.
Nick Lodolo(8-5) picked up the victory, allowing 5 runs in 8 innings. Mitch
Keller(9-8) absorbed the loss. He served up 4 homeruns in his 1 and 1/3
innings.
Texas continued on their recent roll, their winning streak now reaching 8
games and counting.
