Hayden Birdsong dominated striking out 10 Tombstone batters as the Nimrod
Numnuts beat the Tombstone Huckleberries by a score of 4 to 3.
Birdsong(3-2) earned his pay with a solid performance for Nimrod. He went 7
innings surrendering 6 hits and 1 walk and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'
reducing his ERA from 4.97 to 4.60. Nimrod had only 5 hits for the night.
Alex Vesia earned the save, his 13th. Hogan Harris(3-4) suffered the loss.
Birdsong was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out
there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the
victory and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime!'
