Andres Munoz closed the door on Palatine and Mark Canha lofted one into the
'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI as the Woodfield Roadkyll defeated the hapless
Palatine Cubs by a score of 9 to 6 at Kauffman Stadium.
Woodfield wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring 4
runners on 2 hits. The key at-bat was by Isiah Kiner-Falefa who silenced
Kauffman Stadium as he doubled plating all three baserunners. Palatine could
do no damage in the bottom of the 9th.
The victory was credited to Drew Thorpe(4-0) who went 5 innings, allowing 5
runs. Munoz recorded the save, his 21st. The loss was charged to Hunter
Greene(8-8).
