Max Muncy homered and had 2 RBI at Englefield Green as the Woodfield Roadkyll
staged a comeback win over the Chicago Whales by the count of 8 to
7.
Woodfield scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 1 hit. The key offensive moment was provided by Rafael
Devers who made the crowd come alive when he lofted a three-run bomb.
Woodfield banged out 9 hits on the night.
Evan Phillips(1-4) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Brent Honeywell(1-1) took the loss in relief. 'We just wouldn't give up,'
Muncy said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the
whole way.'
