The Caracas Leones defeated the Woodfield Roadkyll by a score of 7 to 4 at
Leones Field.
It was a good day for Caracas thanks to Bryce Harper. He blasted a two-run
home run in the 4th inning, ripped a base-knock in the 6th inning and doubled
which brought home a run in the 7th inning. Caracas had 8 hits for the
night.
The winning pitcher was Colin Rea(7-5) who allowed 3 runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Rea got help from Kenley Jansen who earned his 17th save. The
losing pitcher was Cristopher Sanchez(4-10).
Caracas remained hot, improving their record to a division leading 71-49.
They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days. With the loss Woodfield now
has a record of 68-52.
