The Burbank Tigers endured an embarrassing pasting as a potent Chicago Whales
lineup tallied 11 runs while Reynaldo Lopez(4-6)with bullpen support held
Burbank to 1 run.
Marcus Semien enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He smashed a two-run homer
in the 5th inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 6th inning and
smacked a single knocking in a run in the 7th inning. Chicago had 18 hits
overall, while Burbank had 5.
J.P. Sears(8-8) took the loss. He was unable to control the Chicago offense
and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
Wth the win Chicago now has a record of a division leading 69-46. With this
