Jacob Young had 3 base hits and Luke Weaver delivered 3 and two third solid
innings at Lawton Stadium as the red-hot Texas Flood beat the Streator Reds
by the count of 4 to 3.
Texas won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 8th inning scoring 2 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Fernando Tatis Jr led off and started the rally when
he tripled. Ketel Marte came next and he bombed a two-run dinger. Streator
could do no damage in the 9th.
The win went to Weaver(10-0) who allowed no runs in 3 and 2/3 innings. Chris
Sale(12-3) took the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 10 hits in 7 innings.
Texas remained hot, improving their record to 80-33. They now have a record
of 10-0 in recent days. Streator has a record of 57-56 after the loss.
