Tylor Megill came through with a solid 6 innings as the Nimrod Numnuts
defeated the Dublin Pubcrawlers 7 to 0 at Oakland Coliseum.
Nimrod wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning scoring one runner
utilizing 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Blaze Alexander was hit by
a pitch. Dairon Blanco was next and he delivered a base-hit. J.P. Crawford
then slapped a single to load the bases. Christian Walker was up next and he
ripped a one-base hit scoring the run. That early run support was enough for
Megill(3-5) and Nimrod. Nimrod had 13 hits for the game and Dublin had 2.
Keider Montero preserved the game for Megill, recording his his 3rd save. The
loss was charged to Jose Quintana(4-10). He allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 6
innings.
Nimrod now has a record of 44-69. Not able to get much going in recent weeks,
Dublin is 2-8 of late and now has an overall record of 43-70, worst in the
division.
