Hunter Brown racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts and Ketel Marte
knocked 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the red-hot Texas Flood clobbered the
outmatched Dublin Pubcrawlers, 13 to 3.
Marte enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He belted a three-run homer in
the 3rd inning, ripped a solo home run in the 5th inning and cracked a
two-run shot in the 6th inning. Texas had many opportunities throughout the
game and scored in 6 separate innings.
The winning pitcher was Brown(9-3) who allowed 3 runs in 8 innings. Ryan
Weathers(2-7) was tagged with the loss. He surrended 4 homeruns in his 4 and
2/3 innings.
'He was really impressive tonight,' Weathers said of his counterpart. 'Our
guys were just swinging at air.'
