Masyn Winn had 4 hits and 2 RBI at Truist Park as the Palatine Cubs beat the
Dallas Gibsons by the count of 7 to 6.
Palatine had 3 runs cross the plate in the top of the 6th inning when they had
4 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Winn who quieted the
home crowd when he ripped a base-hit plating two runs. Dallas threatened in
the 9th but their rally came up short.
Landon Knack(2-2) went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Pedro Avila recorded the save, his 2nd. Ryne Nelson(7-10) was the losing
pitcher.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Steve Felson
said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say they have
to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
