James McCann hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Streator Reds beat the
Dyersville Jurassics by a score of 7 to 5.
McCann had a big evening at the plate. He doubled plating a run in the 2nd
inning, lofted a three-run bomb in the 3rd inning and laced a base-hit in the
9th inning. Streator finished with 11 hits in the victory.
The winning pitcher was Javier Assad(4-7) who allowed no runs in 7 innings.
Bryan Abreu recorded the save, his 4th. Aaron Nola(7-10) ended up with the
loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
The Streator ballclub's record now stands at 52-50. Dyersville has recorded a
poor 2-8 record in their last 10 games. Their overall record is now 53-49.
