The Tombstone Huckleberries nipped the Tampico Stogies 5 to 4 at The O.K.
Corral in a hard fought contest.
Tombstone won the game with a run in the 8th inning. After an out was
recorded, Paul Goldschmidt ripped a solo home run. Tampico threatened in the
9th but their rally came up short.
Drew Rasmussen(1-1) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. Jhoan Duran preserved the game for Rasmussen, recording his his 13th
save. Tanner Banks(2-3) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2 innings
giving up 3 hits and no walks.
'Fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals' said Mike Aldrich after the game.
'We lost this game tonight because we didn't follow the instructions every
Little Leaguer hears every day.'
