In a dramatic ending at Kauffman Stadium the Palatine Cubs won in their last
at-bat beating the Burbank Tigers by the count of 7 to 4.
Palatine won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Kyle Schwarber kicked off the
action when he drew a walk. Luis Robert followed and he doubled. Royce
Lewis then rifled a three-run blast giving Palatine the win much to the
delight of the home town crowd. Palatine finished with 11 hits in the
victory.
The victory went to Dylan Floro(5-2) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Trent Thornton(0-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of
an inning allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.
