In a dramatic ending at Englefield Green the Woodfield Roadkyll won in their
last at-bat beating the Columbus Crowd by the count of 8 to 7.
The deciding run was scored by Woodfield in the bottom of the 9th. After an
out was recorded, Isiah Kiner-Falefa blasted a solo shot making Woodfield the
winners and sending the 11,019 fans home happy. Due to a poorly pitched
ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for Columbus to
come away with the victory.
Matt Strahm(3-0) allowed 1 run in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. The
losing pitcher was Jesus Tinoco(0-6) in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk
in 2 and 2/3 innings.
