Jackson Merrill touched them all and had 2 RBI at Lawton Stadium as the
Palatine Cubs beat the Texas Flood by the count of 7 to 4.
Palatine scored 3 runs in the decisive 5th inning when they came up with 4
base hits. The highlight belonged to Nolan Gorman who deflated the spirits
of the home town crowd when he smashed a two-run homer. Texas was out-hit by
Palatine, 11 hits to 6.
Lance Lynn(2-3) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Lynn was
helped out by Ryne Stanek who recorded his 1st save. Trevor Williams(1-3)
was the loser. He gave up 6 runs in 4 innings of work.
