Center fielder Harrison Bader connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI and
Freddy Peralta struck out 10 batters as the Columbus Crowd defeated the
Streator Reds 4 to 2 at The Horseshoe.
Peralta(6-4) put on a good performance. He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 2 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings. Columbus had 8 hits for the night
while Streator had 3.
Peralta got help from Devin Williams who was credited with his 6th save. Taj
Bradley(5-6) took the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up 7 hits and 3
walks.
Ralph Madara was upset after the game. 'I don't like to complain but did you
see that umpires strike zone?', he said. 'Maybe they ought to start calling
the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule book.'
