One run was the difference at Lateralus Parabola as the New York The Yanks
defeated the Tampico Stogies in 10 innings 3 to 2.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. New York won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. Lamonte Wade Jr started the attack as he
drew a walk. Taylor Ward was next and he lashed a single which scored a run.
Orlando Arcia got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Leody
Taveras dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Steven Kwan came
to the plate and drew a walk to load the bases. Jarred Kelenic added to the
rally and drew a walk giving New York the win much to the delight of the home
town crowd. Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the night.
Ryan Thompson(1-3) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. The
losing pitcher was Aroldis Chapman(2-6) in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1
hit in 2/3 of an inning.
