The sizzling Chicago Whales readily handled Streator Reds by a score of 5 to 1
at Streator Park.
Chicago took the lead for good in the top of the 6th inning scoring 2 runs
using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Luke Raley got things rolling when
he laced a one-base hit. Kyle Tucker stepped up next and he lifted one out
of the park for a two run home run. Spencer Schwellenbach(9-3) got help from
Griffin Jax who pitched a perfect ninth and was credited with his 11th save.
Taj Bradley(5-5) absorbed the loss. While he was the losing pitcher, he still
struck out 11 batters in 8 innings.
For Chicago, the victory kept their winning streak on the march.
