Tyler Glasnow took a no-hitter into the 8th inning and third baseman Nolan
Arenado slammed a homerun and had 4 RBI at Comerica Park as the Borculo
Bumble Bees embarrassed the Hollywood Marines by the lopsided score of 13 to
0.
Glasnow(9-2) was simply too much for the Hollywood batters. He was stingy on
the mound, allowing just 1 hit and 2 walks in 8 innings. Glasnow racked up
12 strikeouts seeing his ERA drop from 2.78 to 2.55. The right-handed
Glasnow had his no-hit bid broken up by Adley Rutschman who singled with two
outs in the 8th inning. Borculo had many opportunities throughout the game
and scored in 6 separate innings.
Brady Singer(6-5) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 4 hits and 2
walks in 1 and 2/3 innings. Brian Anderson was impressed with Glasnow and
his 12 strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact
