Kyle Tucker lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 4 RBI as the sizzling
Chicago Whales won at West Side Park in dramatic fashion over the Tampico
Stogies, the final score, 5 to 4.
Chicago won the game with a run in the 9th inning. Mike Yastrzemski banged
out a single. Lars Nootbaar next to the plate and he ripped a base-hit.
Marcus Semien was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. One out later,
Gunnar Henderson came to bat and doubled making Chicago the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration. Chicago finished with 11 hits in
the victory.
The victory went to Joe Jimenez(3-3) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Adrian Morejon(1-3) was given the loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits
and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.
In another of a string of victories, Chicago extended their winning streak to
8 games.
