The Woodfield Roadkyll were finally were able to get back on the winner's
track and edged the Tombstone Huckleberries in 10 innings at Englefield Green
by the score of 4 to 3.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Woodfield came out the
victor in the 10th inning. After two were out Juan Soto was walked
intentionally. Gleyber Torres stepped up next and he stroked a one-base hit
giving Woodfield the victory and sending the 10,324 home-town fans home
happy. Woodfield ended up with 11 hits for the game while Tombstone had 7.
Matt Strahm(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no
runs. Daniel Coulombe(1-2) ended up with the loss in relief. He was a
hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of
work.
