At Comerica Park, the Hollywood faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel. Mitch Keller(8-3) finally bested his Borculo counterpart,
Tyler Anderson(5-1), by the score of 2 to 0.
Borculo was unable to recover after Hollywood went ahead in the 2nd inning
plating an isolated run on 2 base hits. The early run support proved
sufficient for Keller and Hollywood. That was all the run support Keller
required. The pitchers took over after the 4th inning as neither team was
able to score again.
Keller got help from Jeff Hoffman who was credited with his 16th save.
Anderson was charged with the loss. The Hollywood ballclub's record now
stands at 39-44. Even with the loss, Borculo still has a nice 8-2 record in
recent weeks. They are 58-25 on the season.
