The Nimrod Numnuts edged the Columbus Crowd at The Horseshoe by the score of 5
to 4.
Nimrod came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. Ian Happ started the scoring when he hit a
bases-empty home run. Gavin Lux came to the plate and tripled. Michael
Taylor then hit a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning. Columbus was
set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th.
The victory was credited to Alex Vesia(2-2) who went 1 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Jason Adam recorded the save, his 7th. Hunter Gaddis(4-2)
was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 2 hits in 1
inning.
