Jordan Westburg smacked 2 triples and Spencer Turnbull came through with a
solid 6 innings at The Horseshoe as the Columbus Crowd beat the Burbank
Tigers in 10 innings by the count of 5 to 3.
Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings. Columbus won the
hard fought contest in the 10th inning. Westburg was the sparkplug when he
tripled bringing in a run. Anthony Santander came next and he lifted one out
of the park for a two run home run giving Columbus the win as 51,026 happy
fans joyfully celebrated. Columbus ended up with 10 hits for the game while
Burbank had 5.
Tyson Miller(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1/3 of an inning and
allowing no runs. Robert Suarez(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.
Columbus now has a record of a division leading 46-35. With the loss Burbank
