The Palatine Cubs defeated the Dublin Pubcrawlers by a score of 7 to 4 at
Kauffman Stadium.
Palatine scored 4 runs in the 7th inning when they had 3 base hits. They
would prove to be the difference in the contest. Dublin out-hit Palatine 12
to 7, but Palatine ended up with more runs.
The victory went to Ryne Stanek(1-3) who went 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Stanek was helped out by David Bednar who recorded his 9th save.
Victor Vodnik(4-5) was hit with the loss in relief. He gave up 5 runs in 2
and 1/3 innings of work.
