The Tombstone Huckleberries edged the Nimrod Numnuts at Oakland Coliseum by
the score of 3 to 2.
Tombstone took the lead for good in the top of the 3rd inning plating one
baserunner on 2 base hits. Nimrod made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.
The victory went to Chris Bassitt(5-4) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Jhoan Duran gained credit for his 3rd save. Tylor Megill(2-1) took the
loss.
Wth the win Tombstone now has a record of 40-37. With the loss, the Nimrod
ballclub's record is 28-49.
