In an exciting finish the powerful Texas Flood pulled out a win over the
Borculo Bumble Bees by a score of 3 to 2 at Lawton Stadium.
Texas won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Jacob Young
delivered a single. Jurickson Profar was next and he stroked a base-hit.
Fernando Tatis Jr followed, but he was set down on strikes. Ketel Marte was
up next and he reached on an error. Vladimir Guerrero Jr got his chance to
keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Luis Rengifo added to the
rally and laced a one-base hit resulting in an exciting win for Texas and a
raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Texas ended up with 9
hits for the game while Borculo had 6.
Kevin Kelly(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning.
Cade Smith(3-1) was the loser in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he
did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
