Shortstop C.J. Abrams had 2 base hits at Busch Stadium as the Columbus Crowd
beat the Tampico Stogies by the count of 1 to 0.
Freddy Peralta(5-4) was in control of the game from the outset. He allowed
only 1 hit and 4 walks in 7 innings. Peralta struckout 9 Tampico batters
seeing his ERA drop from 3.76 to 3.39. Columbus banged out 8 hits on the
night.
Devin Williams got the save, his 2nd. Reynaldo Lopez(1-4) ended up with the
loss. Wth the win Columbus now has a record of a division leading 40-27.
Not able to get much going in recent weeks, Tampico is 1-9 of late and now
has an overall record of 24-43, worst in the division.
