Byron Buxton had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Dublin Pubcrawlers bested the
Vernon Hillbillies 7 to 1 at Poets Field.
Vernon found themselves trailing quickly as the Dublin bats came through in
the first inning when they came up with 2 runs on 2 hits. That scoring would
be all that was needed. For the game Dublin out-hit Vernon 13 to 4.
Jose Quintana(2-5) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Roansy
Contreras earned the save, his 1st. Dean Kremer(3-5) was the loser. He got
hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 4 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
Dublin now has a record of 25-40. With the loss, the Vernon ballclub's record
