Jarren Duran had 2 base hits as the Hollywood Marines defeated the Palatine
Cubs by the score of 4 to 2 at Kauffman Stadium.
Hollywood jumped out to the early lead in the first inning with 2 runs on 3
hits. Duran opened up the inning nicely when he tripled. Bryson Stott
followed and he doubled scoring a run. Stott proceeded to steal third base.
Pete Alonso came up and he drew a walk. Brenton Doyle stepped into the box
and hit a sacrifice fly scoring the final run of the inning. The Palatine
batters didn't put up a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
Jesus Luzardo(2-3) went 5 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Dennis Santana
got the save, his 1st. Edward Cabrera(1-4) was given the loss. Wth the win
Hollywood now has a record of 26-32. Palatine has a record of 18-40, worst
in the division after the loss.
