Kutter Crawford had a strong outing at The O.K. Corral as the Tombstone
Huckleberries pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Streator Reds by the
count of 2 to 1.
Tombstone had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 3
hits. Willi Castro led off and started the rally when he doubled. Jose
Ramirez followed and he drew a walk. Jackson Chourio then delivered a single
driving in a run. Yordan Alvarez followed and he slapped a one-base hit
giving Tombstone the win as 51,172 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Tombstone
had 5 hits for the game and Streator had 2.
The win went to Alexis Diaz(4-5) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Bryan
Abreu(2-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He saw his ERA jump from 1.19
to 1.99 as gave up 2 runs without retiring a batter.
'What a win!', Diaz said. 'These are the kind of games that stand out in your
mind at the end of a season.'
