Mackenzie Gore came through with a solid 7 innings and Nolan Gorman had 2 base
hits and 2 RBI as the Palatine Cubs topped the Aarlington Aardvarks by a
score of 3 to 0 at Aarlington Field.
Palatine won the game with a rally in the 9th inning plating 3 runs utilizing
3 base hits. Jackson Merrill led off and he doubled. J.J. Bleday stepped up
to the plate and he doubled scoring a single run. One out later, Pete
Crow-Armstrong followed, but he was set down on strikes. Gabriel Moreno
stepped in and he was walked intentionally. Gorman stepped into the box and
doubled with two more runners crossing home. Palatine banged out 7 hits on
the night.
Dylan Floro(1-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Daniel
Hudson(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. Palatine scored big getting
3 runs off him in 2 and 2/3 innings.
