Seiya Suzuki smacked 2 homeruns as the Hollywood Marines defeated the
Dyersville Jurassics by the score of 11 to 6 at Jurassic Park.
Suzuki was really in 'the zone'. He delivered a base-hit which scored a run
in the 6th inning, cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th
inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 9th inning. Even though they scored
in 5 different innings, Dyersville was not able to pull off the win.
Jared Jones(3-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing 5
runs. The loss was charged to Justin Slaten(1-2) in relief. He surrendered 5
runs in 1 and 2/3 innings and saw his ERA increase from 4.50 to 6.89.
With this win, Hollywood has a 18-21 record. They have been 5-5 lately. With
this loss, Dyersville has a 5-5 record of late, 26-13 overall.
