The Dallas Gibsons defeated the Tampico Stogies in 10 innings by a score of 7
to 4 at Truist Park.
The score was tied at 4 after nine. Dallas won the hard fought contest in the
10th inning. Andrew Benintendi got things rolling when he drew a walk.
Triston Casas got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Edmundo Sosa
then belted a three-run homer making Dallas the victor and beginning a joyous
home town celebration. Tampico was out-hit by Dallas, 11 hits to 7.
Jacob Webb(1-1) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. The
loss was charged to Aroldis Chapman(0-3) in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings and surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks.
