The Columbus Crowd got by the Vernon Hillbillies at The Horseshoe. The final
score was 6 to 4.
Columbus went ahead for good in the 4th inning as they scored 2 runs on 2 base
hits. The biggest moment was provided by Alek Thomas who made the crowd come
alive when he blasted a two-run home run. Vernon had a chance to come back
in the 9th but they came up short.
The win went to Brandon Williamson(7-6) who allowed 1 run in 5 innings. Devin
Williams earned his 30th save. The loss was charged to Logan Gilbert(13-12).
He was not very effective, surrendering 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.
