Left fielder Dylan Carlson had 2 base hits and Yusei Kikuchi carried a
no-hitter into the 7th inning as the Gotham Gold Gloves defeated the Tampico
Stogies by the score of 4 to 2 at Edsel Stadium.
Kikuchi(12-6) gave a fine effort for Gotham. He surrendered 1 hit and 5 walks
in 7 innings. The left-handed Kikuchi lost his no-hit bid when Kyle Farmer
homered with one out in the 7th inning. Gotham had 5 hits overall, while
Tampico had 2.
Ian Hamilton earned the save, his 17th. Joe Kelly(2-4) was given the loss in
relief. He surrendered 2 runs and no hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
