Fernando Tatis Jr slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Jamaica Smoke
defeated the league door-mat Burbank Tigers by a score of 10 to 8 at Burbank
Park.
Tatis Jr had a great evening at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning,
ripped a base-knock which brought home a run in the 3rd inning, cracked a
solo homerun in the 6th inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 8th inning.
Jamaica ended up with 15 hits for the game while Burbank had 10.
The win was credited to Bryse Wilson(5-5) who went 2 and 2/3 innings allowing
3 runs. Ken Waldichuk(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs
and 4 hits in 2 innings.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Tatis Jr said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
