Left fielder Ian Happ had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Oakland Athletics
staged a dramatic comeback over the Holland Heffalumps by a score of 7 to 4
at RingCentral Coliseum.
Oakland had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 4
runners on 3 hits. The big moment was provided by J.P. Crawford who made the
Oakland fans a happy lot when he brought the hometown folks to their feet
with a Grand Slammer. Oakland out-hit Holland for the game, 8 hits to 4.
Shintaro Fujinami(4-3) went 3 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the
victory. The losing pitcher was Chris Martin(1-2) in relief. 'What a game!,'
Fujinami said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't believe it!'
