Yusei Kikuchi took a no-hitter into the 7th inning at Edsel Stadium as the
Columbus Crowd lost a heartbreaker to Gotham Gold Gloves by the score of 3 to
2.
The game was decided in the 9th inning. Bobby Witt Jr tripled. Jonah Heim
next to the plate and he banged out a single resulting in a mighty exciting
win for Gotham and the 155 home town fans in attendance. Gotham had just 6
hits for the night.
Adrian Houser(3-5) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. The
left-handed Kikuchi had his no-hit bid broken up by Travis D'Arnaud who
doubled with one out in the 7th inning. Tanner Banks(3-3) suffered the loss
in relief. He pitched 2 innings giving up 3 hits and 1 walk.
