9,955 fans watched an exciting game at West Side Park.  The Chicago Whales
topped the league door-mat Streator Reds by the slimmest of margins, 3 to
2.
 
Chicago jumped on top of Streator in the 7th inning plating an isolated run.
Luke Raley cracked a solo homerun.  Streator tried unsuccessfully to come
back in the 9th.  
 
Joe Jimenez(5-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Jimenez got help from Griffin Jax who was credited with his 3rd save.  Alex
Wood(1-7) was hit with the loss.  
 
'Some losses are harder to take than others' Ralph Madara lamented after the
game.  'This was one of them.'
